Not a Writers Club is a bi-weekly newsletter. Here you’ll find musings written by me (Celeste) along with writing prompts that you can try out yourself. If you’ve been looking for a sign to keep writing, this is it.
On May 4th it’ll be a year since I started this newsletter. It’s been quite the journey.
From my first newsletter about writer’s block to the one where I talked about my blue couch at my old apartment in Long Beach. Then I ghosted you guys for two months and came back telling you to romanticize the present.
I wrote about being a regular somewhere, and how it’s okay to abandon ideas. We all posted our bedside tables on Instagram and everyone asked if I was okay when my throat felt like a gorilla grip.
But I was kind of hoping we could have a little DTR. You know, a check-in. Like, how are you feeling about things? About us. Are you, as Ms. Grande would say, still down?
To be honest I’ve been feeling a bit uninspired with the newsletter. But it’s definitely not you, I promise (lol). Now that the sun is out in NYC, I’m wearing less and going out more. Which means less time to write. Or at least, less motivation to do so.
But this newsletter is so important to me, and I want to make it better. For you, and for myself. This newsletter is the one little corner of the Internet (and my life, tbh) that I feel is completely within my control. And I want to continue to use this space as an outlet for self expression, as well as a place that feels like some sort of community.
With that being said, I made this survey to get your thoughts and opinions. I’m going to take a month off from the newsletter, and use this time to think about how I can utilize the info in this survey to make a better newsletter, and also think about what my writing schedule is going to look like in the summer.
In the meantime, I’ll still be writing (and you should be too!)
Okay. I’m going to leave this here again. Please, please, please consider filling it out. It would mean so much to me.
I’ll see you in June <3
