In my bedroom, propped up on the window sill overlooking my street, are a stack of notebooks of various sizes and colors, otherwise known as my journals.
I also just discovered summer Brennan and found her journaling tips really helpful for giving myself a little more structure when I feel like I need it!
Thank you for this. I love journaling and have been thinking about putting mine together on display somewhere in my home - taking this as a sign. Journaling keeps me grounded and is my archive, my spell book, my safe place. It reminds me that even if I haven’t penned something for public consumption I am still a writer. I also just got my second Moleskine and I think those will be my new journals.
This makes me want to get all my journals and take a picture of my stack. I had a few journals with the silver locks that I hid also lol. Wow… reading this had made me realize I have always been a writer… from journaling to poetry and short stories. I am now just really taking shot at making it a craft of mine. Journaling is soooo freeing. My apple notes, Google keep and I are like this 🤞🏾lol
this is so beautiful 🤍 big relate w the hiding part lollll the biggest reason i can’t have physical journals is because i’m terrified of someone finding them. not that i write things too horrendous for someone to read, but it’s an invasion of privacy- my notes app for now does the job :))))
Omg hi fellow journaler! Thank you for sharing this. It warmed my heart because I also have a stack of journals from when I was a little kid till now.
I journal every week and this has made me realise that regardless of whether or not I’m writing and sharing it with the world, I’m still showing up in my journal and that’s a big deal.
I also wrote about journaling in my newsletter and how it helps you connect with your past self, amongst other things. Here it is if you’re interested in reading it :)
I had this girl tech journal and I loved it sm. Mom got mad at me for calling her the wicked bitch of the south tho 😔
oh my god BRE!!!! 🤣😭
Loved this as a fellow journaler 💓
